About Franccesca
FounderHi, I’m Franccesca, the founder of Peaceful Sleep here in Richmond, VA. I am a sleep counselor with a background as a CAPPA postpartum doula and 10 years of childcare experience.
I spent many years working as a postpartum doula, nanny, and childcare teacher for families throughout the Richmond area. I’ve worked with children from the age of several hours to 5 years old-one thing they all have in common is the need for good sleep. It’s been eye opening to witness how sleeping well affects not only the child, but the family as a whole. I have seen firsthand how deeply sleep deprivation impacts parents and how often families are left without compassionate, trustworthy guidance.
Wanting to support families more empathetically and ethically, I am receiving a certification from the Sleep Counseling Institute. I’ve witnessed (and even implemented) many other sleep training methods that just didn’t feel truly helpful for any member of the family. That’s why I’m so glad to have found the Sleep Counseling Institute, which has allowed me to offer sleep support that is individualized, developmentally appropriate, and rooted in respect for both children and parents.
Leading with a calm, collaborative, and non-judgmental approach, I believe parents are the experts on their own children and that sleep support should never feel rushed, rigid, or disconnected from a family’s values. Every infant or child is their own individual and should be treated as such.
Through Peaceful Sleep, I am honored to support families as they build confidence, clarity, and restfulness.
